Decide between wine touring and a combined excursion
Destination Ontario describes Niagara as a region of both major sights and wine country. If tastings are your priority, compare how much scheduled time is actually at wineries. If the Falls are equally important, ask what sightseeing is included and whether admission tickets are separate.
Give a specific pickup address and return point
Hotel collection may be limited to a defined area or replaced by a central meeting point. Give your accommodation before paying, and ask about the return drop-off. A tour finishing in Niagara-on-the-Lake is not automatically transport back to a Falls hotel.
Add a winter road decision
Ask who decides whether a tour proceeds, when guests are contacted and whether a change means a different route, reschedule, credit or refund. Ontario 511 reports winter highway conditions, but only the operator can confirm its own service. Keep the return window flexible before dinner, a show, train or flight.
Separate Icewine tasting from harvest expectations
A winery may offer an Icewine sample, flight or pairing without offering access to production or harvest activity. Ask what is included and whether an event pass, premium tasting or separate reservation is required. Do not assume winter timing guarantees a harvest viewing.
Does a winter Niagara Falls tour include Niagara-on-the-Lake?
Only the published itinerary or confirmed quote can establish that. Some routes combine the areas; others focus elsewhere. Ask for the named wineries, meeting point, road-change plan and return before booking.
