The Cowichan Valley is part of Vancouver Island wine country, near Duncan. Wines of British Columbia describes the area as a centre for island winemaking and local food. If you are coming from Victoria or the mainland, separate your transfer arrangements from the tasting itinerary.

From the mainland
Plan the island crossing and onward transport explicitly. Do not assume a wine tour includes ferry travel or a mainland pickup.
Before you request a tour
- Ask for the number of tasting appointments and the time allowed at each.
- Confirm how lunch, dietary preferences and non-tasting guests fit the itinerary.
- Keep your return transport clear if the tour ends somewhere other than your pickup point.
For every route, arrange a driver who is not drinking. Ask about tasting eligibility, accessibility and non-tasting passengers when discussing the itinerary.
Is a Cowichan tour the same as a Vancouver pickup tour?
No. Cowichan is on Vancouver Island. A mainland departure requires additional travel arrangements, which must be explicitly included and confirmed.
